Suzie lives on a little fruit and vegetable farm in southern Tasmania with her husband and springer spaniel, Pepper. She tries to help hubby grow things, but unfortunately is not blessed with green thumbs.

Instead, she is a voracious reader, writer, knitter, soapmaker and cook.

Suzie has written songs, poetry and playscripts both for humans and puppets. Now she writes fiction that explores social issues, particularly those impacting on the wellbeing of women and children.

Her latest novel, Paint the Walls Red, started life in 2015 as a manuscript titled Child, and won the 2022 Omega Writers Caleb Award for Unpublished Adult Fiction.
